This year Ayodhya ki Ramleela scheduled from Oct 17-25 will be one of a kind

Ayodhya:Uttar Pradesh government has approved the staging of star-studded Ramleela during this Navtratra, which will be telecast online without any physical viewers.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is slated to grace the occasion during the nine-day long Ramleela.
 

State tourism and culture minister Neelkanth Tiwari has approved the proposal of this high profile Ramleela, where Bollywood actors would play the role of different  characters of the Ramleela.The programme will be organised jointly by a Delhi based production company and UP Culture department.
 
Official sources said that chief minister Yogi Adityanath has approved the proposal and he himself is likely to attend the programme any day between October 17 to 25.
The programme named as "Ayodhya ki Ramleela" will be performed at Laxman Quila on the banks of the river Saryu from October 17 to 25 in which Bollywood actors will play various characters of the epic. The  Ayodhya ki Ramleela will be telecast live for nine days from 1900 hrs to 2200 hrs through social media and other channels including Doordarshan.
 
  Prominent character of Ramayan to be played in the Ramleela. Manoj Tewari, actor-turned-BJP MP from north-east Delhi, will play the role of Angad, son of king Bali of Kishkindha, while famous Bhojpuri actor and now Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan will play the character of Bharat, lord Ram's younger brother.
 
  Bindu Dara Singh, son of the late wrestler/actor Dara Singh who had played the iconic role of Lord Hanuman in Ramnand Sagar's Ramayana, will follow in the footsteps of his father by essaying the same role in the Ramleela in Ayodhya.

The role of Sita will be essayed by Kavita Joshi and that of lord Ram by Sonu Sagar. Legendary Bollywood comedian Asrani will slip into the role of Narad Muni. Other Bollywood actors involved in the production include Raza Murad, Shahbaz Khan, Avtar Gill, Rajesh Puri and Rakesh Bedi.(UNI)
