England name full-strength T20 squad for India tour

London: England on Thursday named a full-strength 16-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against India, to be played in Ahmedabad in March.
Limited overs captain Eoin Morgan will lead a side full of T20 specialists, which features the likes of all-rounder Ben Stokes, experienced wicket-keeper batsmen Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow and top order batsman Dawid Malan.
The team will depart for India on February 26, with the first match scheduled on March 12.
“The squad for the three One-Day Internationals that follow the IT20 series will be announced in due course,” the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement here.
England also named two reserve players in Jake Ball and Matt Parkinson, who will serve as backups, should a pacer or a spinner get injured or sick.
