Lucknow:After invoking Gangster Act against 13 accused in the murder case of a Hindu outfit leader Kamlesh Tiwari last year, the Lucknow district authorities have now invoked National Security Act (NSA) against two of the conspirators.

Lucknow district magistrate Abhishek Prakash has ordered booking of two accused-- Yusuf Khan of Fatehpur and Sayeed Asim Ali of Nagpur-- under the act for conspiring and hiring the killers for the murder of Tiwari on October 18, sources said here on Monday.

Earlier in April, Lucknow police had invoked the Gangsters' Act against 13 accused in the case.
Of the 13 accused, three are out on bail, while the other accused are lodged at the Lucknow district jail.

According to police, Tiwari, who was the working president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, was murdered inside his residence at Khurshed Bagh area of the old city area of the state capital last year.

Police said the crime was the fallout of some alleged remarks made by Tiwari against the Prophet in 2015.

In November last year, the police had filed a charge sheet against all 13 persons including the two alleged killers, Ashfaq Hussain Zakir Hussain Shaikh and Farid alias Moinuddin Khurshid Pathan.(UNI)
