Salman's Eid connection!

Mumbai: It is a well known fact in Bollywood that Salman Khan likes to release his movie on Eid to maximize his profit. The other producers too step aside on this occasion and don’t take a risk to release the movie on Eid for the same reason.

The trend started in 2010. Since then, all his Eid movies have been blockbusters. Before "Tubelight" hits the box office, lets go down memory lane and find out the past releases of Bhaijaan on Eid.

Dabang: 2010
 

Riding on the success of Wanted, Salman released movie Dabang in 2010 during Eid. It fetched good result for him and earned 141 crores. Salman made up his mind to release his movies on Eid in the future.   

Bodyguard: 2011
 

The festival of Eid fetched Bodyguard good numbers on the box office. The movie earned 145 crore. Now Salman was sure that every dream project of his, will be released on Eid.

Ek Tha Tiger: 2012
 

Salman and Katrina starrer movie Ek tha Tiger earned 199 crores on Eid. The sequel Tiger Zinda Hai is on the floors and will release in 2018. 

Kick: 2014
 

Despite a lot of criticism by critics and trolls, Kick became the first movie of Salman Khan to earn 233 crore. 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan: 2015
 

This time the movie not only had Salman, but also an inbound script and proper direction of Kabir Khan. The movie went on to gross 321 crores. 

Sultan: 2016
 

Salman Khan played a wrestler in Sultan and his fans appreciated his role. The movie earned 301 crores.
