Actors, technicians associated with 'DDLJ ' remember the movie on 25th anniv

New Delhi:Actors and technicians associated with 'Dilwale Dulhaniyan Le Jayenge' on Tuesday fondly recalled the iconic film 25 years after its release.
On the completion of 25 years of the release of the film, its producer Yashraj films said, ''25 years ago on this day, the definition of romance was rewritten. Raj met Simran, they fell in love and since then, we can't stop swooning over this epic love story. Celebrating 25 years of DDLJ.''
 
Remembering the 1995 Yashraj films classic, the film's lead actress Kajol said, ''Raj and Simran! 2 people, 1 film, 25 years and the love doesn't stop coming in. I am truly grateful to all the people who made it what it is today.. a phenomenon and a part of their own history. The fans. Big shoutout to all of you.''
 
The Bollywood heartthrob Shahrukh Khan also remembered the film on the completion of 25 years of its release.''25 years. Filled with gratitude towards you for loving Raj and Simran, with all your heart. This always feels special,'' Shahrukh tweeted.
 
The film's actors Anupam Kher and Parmeet Sethi also fondly recalled the film.''25 years wow. Thank you for showering love and support for this amazing film. And thank you, Adi Chopra, for making me part of history. I am truly humbled,'' Parmeet Sethi said.
 
On this occasion, Anupam Kher, who played a key role in the film, said, ''Proud to be part of this film which completes 25 years today. Your love has been a constant. Thank You."Actor Uday Chopra, who was part of the production team of the film, shared on his social media account a picture of him from the sets of DDLJ.
 
''A picture of me from the sets of DDLJ. It's been 25 years. Was a truly special and fun experience. The memories will last forever,'' he tweeted.Renowned Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan, who choreographed a song from the film, also shared her memories of the film.
 
''Can't believe its 25YearsOfDDLJ though i did just this 1 song in the film its a huge part of my repertoire. Thank you yrf n AdityaChopra 4 including me in the silver anniversary.. not many include the technicians,'' Farah said.
 
Released on October 20 1995, 'Dilwale Dulhaniyan Le Jayenge ', was directed by Aditya Chopra (his directorial debut) and produced by his father Yash Chopra, and written by Javed Siddiqui with Aditya Chopra.
 
The film starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. It also featured Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, Amrish Puri and Parmeet Sethi in key roles.
 
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year, and one of the most successful Indian films in history. It won 10 Filmfare Awards-the most for a single film at that time-and the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.(UNI)
