After release of trailer, Veere Di wedding face online boycott heat

Mumbai: A day after the trailer of Kareena Kapoor starrer "Veere Di Wedding" was released netizens called for a boycott of this movie. However, the reason for the boycott was not the content but the star cast. The movie also had Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in supporting role. Three of the prominent actresses protested against the Kathua rape incident  occurred few days ago. The ladies resorted to a playcard protest in which started with “I am Hindustan, I am ashamed”.

As per the reports, more than the protest it seemed to be vilification of Hindu religion as per many Twitteratis. From memes to sarcastic remarks, "Veere Di Wedding" received a hostile reception on social media. We are showing you some of the tweets.It all started with the below tweet
