New Delhi: Amazon Prime Video announces an all-new, bold Amazon Prime Original reality series 'Hear Me. Love Me' based around the concept of blind dating.
The show combines modern day technology with the rules of old world romance to uncover the perfect recipe for love.
'The format takes a single young woman looking for love and sets her up on three dates in a single day. There’s just one small catch… she is not allowed to see what her dates look like,' a statement said.
Hosted by celebrated film actor and fitness guru, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and produced by FremantleMedia India, the series provides a window into what contemporary India thinks of love, romance and dating.
Vijay Subramaniam, Director, Content, Amazon Prime Video India, said, “This show is fun and fresh and we believe it will appeal to our current and future Prime members. It is based on the premise of choosing a date, but with a big twist and in a never before seen format in India. I think Shilpa is a great fit for this show and the audience will love the role she plays in this Prime Original. We’re excited to add Hear Me. Love Me. to the slate of innovative shows we’re making for our Prime members.'
Shilpa Shetty said, “I am thrilled to make my digital debut with Amazon Prime Video with this unique reality show. I am sure all of us have wondered if looks are everything when it comes to dating. Hear Me. Love Me. puts this concept to the test! The format of this unusual and edgy reality show revolves around dating through the heart. The show tries to uncover what each contestant values the most in their date!”
Produced by FremantleMedia India, 'Hear Me.Love Me', uses technology to take virtual dating to the next level.
Young women between 21-32 years of age, with different aspirations and from different walks of life, make an attempt to find love and companionship. It’s a blind date with a huge difference as one single young lady dates three guys in a day, without ever leaving her room.
The bachelors wear a mini camera on their chest sharing their lives, but never revealing their faces, thereby eliminating looks as a deciding factor. This format provides a sneak peek into the day of the life of the date.
After an intensive day of fast-track dating, it is decision time. Before she sees them though, she has to choose the one who has won her heart. Helping the contestants as they make these decisions is none other than film and television personality, Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
Aradhana Bhola, MD of FremantleMedia India said, "We at FremantleMedia India are thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Prime Video India in bringing the worldwide format hit, Hear Me. Love Me. to Prime members. Successfully produced in seven countries, this is a fun, entertainment format that, for the first time, looks at love through the millennial lens. We found the perfect host in Shilpa; her innate warmth and joie de vivre blend beautifully with the show format to create irresistible entertainment!”
