Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that the film 'Tanvi the Great' will be exempted from tax in the state.
He said that his dispensation is committed to promoting such meaningful cinema. The Chief Minister watched a special screening of the film here Tuesday night, along with renowned actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher, it was officially learnt.
Addressing film enthusiasts, Yadav praised the film’s subject, performances, music and overall presentation, saying it truly won the hearts of the audience. “This film delivers a powerful message rooted in human emotion and social fabric. It is not just a film but a lesson and an inspiration,” he said.
The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also encourages films related to the armed forces. He emphasised that children with autism are capable and can even qualify for recruitment in the Indian Army — a point that was portrayed in the film effectively. He admired Kher and the entire cast for their commendable work.
Before the screening began, Kher welcomed the audience and expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister. After the screening, Kher remarked that the film depicts a daughter’s tireless efforts to fulfil her father's dream. “A person may be different but that does not mean they are weak. The film’s protagonist proves her merit through which she earns her place in the Indian Army,” he added.
