Mumbai: As the cricket fever grips Bollywood, with a slew of movies based on the profession either lined up or released recently, actor and producer Anushka Sharma announced her silver screen comeback in "Chakda Xpress".

The Sultan actor is quite excited for portraying former International cricketer Jhulan Goswami's life on the screen. However, fans are not as happy as the star is.

Netizens believe Anushka is not the perfect fit for the role as they point out how her body language, accent and skin tone do not match to the former cricketer.

A user wrote, "Jhulan Goswami is one of the biggest sports icon in India. She deserves better. Anushka Sharma isn't looking suitable for the role. Height color nothing matches with legen Goswami. Also Anushka Sharma's cringe bengali accent has ruined the plot totally."

"A Bengali actress must have been chosen for this role. Leave casting yo Bollywood and they'll end up casting Robert Pattinson for Martin Luther King Jr's biopic," another tweet said.

I don't know about you all but Bipasha Basu or Esha Gupta would have been better choice for this role , Bengali + same skin colour + she has good height too .

This is not the first time the Netizens have expressed their dissent againt the Bollywood industry's casting.

Priyanka Chopra starring Mary Kom also had to experience the same kind of lashing as fans were not happy with PC playing the Boxing superstar.

Fans have previously also raised questions about why only top list actresses get to play such important roles, not the regional actors or the actors with same ethnicity. (UNI)
