Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil said here on Thursday that he has decided to show 'Chhava' film to one lakh citizens of the constituency for free so that everyone can get inspiration from the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
'Chhava', directed by Laxman Utekar, which tells the heroic story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, was released worldwide on February 14. Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal is playing the lead role in this film, while South actress Rashmika Mandana essays the role of Maharani Yesubai in film.
Currently, there is a lot of discussion about this film everywhere, and the shows of 'Chhava' are running houseful at many places, said Patil, who is MLA of the Kothrud Assembly constituency in Pune.
Patil said, "Like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is also our god. He has set an ideal before us by sacrificing himself for religion. Everyone must watch the 'Chhava' movie based on his life.
He also informed that in the coming days, a free tour of Shivsruthi in Katraj Ambegaon will also be organised for citizens of the constituency so that the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj are instilled in the next generation.(UNI)
