Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has officially stepped onto the sets of "King", her latest venture with Shah Rukh Khan, setting in motion yet another chapter in a partnership that has defined modern Hindi cinema.
On Instagram, Deepika shared a candid picture from the first day of shoot on King. The photo showed her holding SRK’s hand as she penned an evocative note, “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago while filming Om Shanti Om was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together? #king #day1”
"King" marks their sixth collaboration, a partnership that has consistently enthralled audiences with its blend of grandeur, charm and emotional resonance. Previously the duo had appeared in the 2007 masala film "Om Shanti Om", which also marked Deepika's debut.
Theirs is a partnership that has repeatedly redefined Hindi cinema's grand storytelling, from effervescent "Chennai Express" (2013) to the glittering spectacle of "Happy New Year" (2014) and the high-octane "Pathaan" (2023). Their most recent pairing, "Jawaan" (2023), reaffirmed their formidable chemistry and box-office prowess.
