‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli and his son SS Karthikeya experienced an earthquake in Japan on Thursday. It is noteworthy that Japan was hit by an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3.
Sharing a picture of his smartwatch showing the earthquake alert on to X (previously Twitter), Karthikeya opened up about his startling experience.
“Felt a freaking earthquake in Japan just now!!! Was on the 28th floor and slowly the ground started to move and took us a while to realise it was an earthquake. I was just about to panic but all the Japanese around did not budge as if it just started to rain!! Experience an earthquake box ticked,” SS Karthikeya wrote on ‘X’.

Rajamouli, accompanied by his son Karthikeya and producer Shobu Yarlagadda, recently had a special trip to Japan for a screening of their blockbuster film 'RRR'.
During their time in Japan, Rajamouli encountered a heartwarming gesture from a special 83-year-old fan who gifted him 1,000 origami cranes, along with a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for bringing joy through 'RRR'. He expressed his gratitude, writing, “In Japan, they make origami cranes & gift them to their loved ones for good luck & health. This 83 yr old woman made 1000 of them to bless us because RRR made her happy. Some gestures can never be repaid. Just grateful.” He showcased the cranes along with a heartfelt note from the fan.
