Chennai: Asserting that it would be better if people did not enter politics in the present prevailing situation, thespain Kamal Haasan today said he does not have to do a show like Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate' to prove his social responsibility.Asked why he chose to do a commercial show like 'Bigg Boss' instead of a socially awareness programme like Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate', Kamal retorted 'I have been more socially responsible for long than the person who hosted Satyamev Jayate.
' Talking to reporters, on the sidelines of the trailer launch of the Tamil Bigg Boss, which marks his small screen debut, Kamal responding to questions on politics, did not directly respond to his good friend and Superstar Rajinikanth hinting that he would enter politics. While commenting on politics, Rajinikanth had said the system has become rotten and the democracy too has become rotten.
He also said that 'let the war (meaning elections) come.Till then we will wait patiently', hinting about his plans to foray into the politics.Rajinikanth also had a dig at a section of people questioning his non-Tamil origin and said he was purely a Tamilian and that he was living in Chennai for 44 years and the name, fame and money gained by him was given by the people of Tamil Nadu.(UNI)
