Mumbai: Looks like Karan Johar is not afraid of an ADHM type of controversy, as Shooting for Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Raazi' started today.Directed by Meghna Gulzar, 'Raazi' narrates the story of a Kashmiri girl married to a Pakistani Army officer.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, took to micro-blogging site Twitter this morning and shared a photograph of the film's clapboard."The journey of 'Raazi' begins today! All the best to all of us! Meghna Gulzar, Dharma Movies, Junglee Pictures, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal," Karan tweeted.
The movie also stars critically acclaimed actor Ashwath Bhatt, who is best known for his roles in 'The Reluctant fundamentalist', 'Haider', and 'Feast of Varanasi'.Talking about the opportunity to cast in Dharma movie, Ashwath here said, 'All actors are charged up about the project, and can't wait to begin its shooting, actually, the entire team is so talented and especially to be working with Dharma Productions is rewarding for any actor. "
"I believe in working with quality directors and it's the essence of the role in the script that triggers me rather than just the length of the part", Ashwath added.The thriller is based on Harinder Sikka's novel 'Calling Sehmat', and will be shot in Punjab, Kashmir and Mumbai. (UNI)
