Late Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu hospitalised; doctor says actress has left ventricular failure

Mumbai: The health condition of the yesteryears actor Saira Banu, who was hospitalised three days ago, was reported to be stable on Wednesday.
The 77-year-old widow of late Dilip Kumar suffers from a heart problem and was admitted to the Hinduja Hospital here.
According to cardiologist, Dr. Nitin S. Gokhale, the left ventricle in Banu’s heart had stopped functioning which led to ingress of water in her heart and lungs.
“The problem has been controlled for now and she is medically much better now. We shall shift her out of the ICU tomorrow and then decide further measures,” the doctor apprised. (UNI)
