Legendary singer S P Balasubramaniam tests positive for COVID-19

Chennai: Legendary playback singer S P Balasubramaniam, popularly called as ‘SPB’, has tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital here on Wednesday.
In a video released in social media from the hospital, SPB said he had mild symptoms of fever and his swab samples sent for laboratory tests, returned positive.
The 74-year-old singer, who had sung close to 50,00 songs in all south Indian languages and also in Bollywood, said though the doctors advised him to be under home quarantine, he chose to get admitted in a private hospital as he was concerned about his family members.
He said his fever has come down to normal level and that he was doing fine now, wanted to take rest and focus on medication.
He said he was releasing this video to tell his friends that he was in good health and that there was no cause of any concern. (UNI)
