Like Sakshi I am also not so starstruck- Kiara

Ahmedabad: Actress Kiara Advani, who has played Sakshi Dhoni in her debut movie M S Dhoni : The Untold Story, today said she was not so fond of cricket and only watches world cup or India-Pakistan matches.

On the occasion of the launch of a Diwali campaign of MoneyGram, Kiara here said, "In fact ,I am not so fond of cricket and use to see only the world cups or India- Pakistan matches.
The similarity between me and Sakshi is that we both are not so 'starstruck' with cricketers. "When she had first met Dhoni, She did not really know as to how big a cricketer he was.I think while casting me for her role the director must have my little knowledge of cricket in his mind.

But once the shooting advanced I came to know a lot," she added.On being asked about the much talked about movie which was making waves both in reviews as well as financial collections (over Rs 70 crores in four days), Kiara said, 'I am just digesting the success.

' "When I was informed about being signed for the Dhoni biopic my first reaction was oh my god I am going to work with a director like Neeraj Pandey," she said.To a query she said that Ranbir Kapoor was his favorite actor while Karan Johar the favorite director with whom she craved to work. Notably, Sakshi was so impressed by her role that after watching the movie she ranged Kiara up and praised her performance.

Kiara, who is working in the next Abbas Mastan movie Machine said she was so fond of Gujarati food that her mother teasingly suggests her to marry a 'Gujju' (Gujarati)."I love Gujarati food so very much that her mother in a lighter vein would always say that it would be good if she marries a Gujarati man.

I have been to Gordhan Thal (a famous Gujarati restaurant) in Ahmedabad last time around while I was here for the promotion of my earlier movie Fugly.I loved the food there so much. I like all kind of Gujarati food right from Thepla to Dhokla.You name a Gujarati cuisine and I love that," she added. (UNI)
