Manisha Koirala has a retirement plan for 40+ actresses !

Mumbai: As she makes a comeback to the arclights with 'Dear Maya', 90s Bollywood diva Manish Koirala has made a pitch for giving major roles to the 40 plus actresses in the industry.Talking to reporters during a visit to the capital to promote her film, which hit cinema screens across the country today, Manisha lamented the fact that 40 plus actresses in the film industry had not been getting major roles in the films.'I feel that this should change,' Manisha said.
Asked about the delay in making a comeback, Maisha said that the delay happened as she was looking for the right script to maker her comeback to the arclights.'I had decided that I would do something new, something different and something meaningful.When I got the offer for this film, I felt that it was exactly what I was looking for.Not only does this film have a excellent screenplay but it also balances entertainment with a meaningful message,' the actress said.
Describing the role as very challenging, she said,'though the role was extremely challenging for me, the going was easy for me under the able direction of Sunaina Bhatnagar.It is the story of loneliness and hope of a middle aged woman.Today I am proud of being a part of 'Dear Maya'.' 'Dear Maya' tells the story of a lonely woman who lives in the hills of Shimla and faces an unexpected encounter with love.She suddenly starts getting love letters and they bring light and colour in her otherwise dull life.
The posters and the teaser of the film, which features Manisha in the look of a middle-aged woman, have created a buzz for the film among cinegoers. (UNI)
