Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi's brother-in-law Rakesh Tiwari passed away in a road accident in Jharkhand's Dhanbad. Meanwhile, her sister, Sabita Tiwari, sustained serious injuries in the incident.
According to a police, Rakesh Tiwari and his wife Sarita Tiwari were traveling from Kamalpur in Gopalganj, Bihar, to Chittaranjan, West Bengal. Around 4.30 pm, prior to reaching Nirsa Market Chowk, their high-speed car (WB44D-2899) crashed into a divider.
The impact was so severe that the car was badly shattered, and the front part of the car was completely damaged.
After the accident, the police extracted both individuals from the car with the help of locals and transported them to Dhanbad Medical College Hospital, where Rajesh Tiwari was declared dead by emergency doctors.
Tripathi's sister, who suffered a leg fracture, is out of danger, SNMMCH Emergency HOD Dr Dinesh Kumar Gindauria said.
