Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has directed the Enforcement Directorate not to enforce its eviction notices issued against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, asking them to vacate their residential house in Juhu and their farm house in Pune, which were provisionally attached in Bitcoin scam cases, until an authority decides their appeal.

A bench of Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Prithviraj K Chavan said that if the appellate authority’s decision is adverse or unfavourable to them, the couple should be given two weeks to seek further relief.

The stay order of this High Court will remain in effect until the appellate authority in Delhi decides on the couple's plea against a PMLA Tribunal's September 18 order against them.

The couple had moved the High Court and in its petition had sought orders to protect their right and shelter of their family against the "meaningless, reckless and arbitrary act" on the part of the ED for issuing eviction notices September 27, 2024, directing the couple to vacate their properties.

The couple was served with the eviction notice on October three.
