The year 2020 didn’t prove to be the best for Bollywood, especially after getting hit badly by formerly the pandemic and later the unexpected demises of talented actors.
Even though the movies kept releasing over the OTTs, but the Khan trio was nowhere to be seen. The three superstars of Bollywood weren’t a part of any movie that got released this year. Salman's Radhe and Aamir's Laal Singh Chaddha had to postpone the release date due to pandemic.
Aamir Khan, the actor known for being a perfectionist was last seen in Thugs of Hindostan that didn’t really perform well on the BoxOffice. However, he was all set to make a comeback after 2 years in Laal Singh Chaddha along with Kareena Kapoor. The movie will now release in 2021.
Salman Khan, the bachelor superstar of Bollywood leaves no stone unturned in impressing his fans with his action packed performances in movies. The last movie he did was Dabangg 3 alongside Sonakshi Sinha in 2019, produced by him. He has a lot of movies scheduled for 2021 until 2023, his dates seem completely booked. Maybe 2020 was his year to sit back and relax and come back with a bang in 2021. Some of his upcoming movies in 2021 are Kaagaz, Radhe, Antim-The Final Truth and many more.
Our favorite romantic of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan too was off the big screen for this year. The last movie where we saw him acting was Zero, which wasn’t liked by the audience much, but he still managed to get a nomination at the Filmfare’s for Best Actor. He later narrated Zoya Factor and gave his voice for Mufasa in Lion King. The actor seems to have only one movie lined up for the coming year potentially named Pathan.
Surprisingly these three actors are in eve of their careers and are as desired as the
young ones, or even more. But it’ll soon end as the generation moves a little ahead.
They have been the kings until now but as the new talent is coming in at a
high rate, they risk to be replaced. We have admired them for their work until now but now it’s time to welcome the others and give them a chance, even though it’ll ask a lot of us to compromise with our favorite faces.
