Parineeti Chopra to be leading lady of KJO’s ‘Kesari

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra will be the leading lady of Karan Johar’s ‘Kesari’, the film based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which the 21 Sikh regiment fought bravely against Afghani invaders on September 12, 1897.Karan Johar took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to announce the name of the leading lady in his upcoming production venture , which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

‘Kesari’ is a film based on the Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay will essay Havaldar Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh regiment, who on September 12, 1897, fought bravely against Afghani invaders in the war which eventually came to be known as the battle of Saragarhi.(UNI)
