Rap of ‘Gully Boy’ becomes digital rage amongst youngsters (Video)

New Delhi: The makers of ‘Gully Boy’ released a small rap video announcing their trailer release date and within 24 hours it has become viral all over the internet.
Zoya Akhtar’s directorial next starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, ‘Gully Boy’ which is inspired by true events showcases the journey of a young rapper and keeping the concept in mind the makers released a small rap from the film which has already become a rage amongst youngsters.
The video shows Ranveer who goes from being an underdog rapper on the streets on Mumbai to becoming a big shot in the world of rap and Hip Hop, taking us through his life journey.
It really left us impressed with his rapping skills and it has become a rage, as the fans are coming with a lot of videos recreating his new rap from the trailer announcement on the different music app.
The fans are giving a huge shout out as the teaser of ‘Gully Boy’ is a very unique as it sets a right mood for the hip-hop scene.
The one and a half minute long teaser showcase the journey of a boy of Mumbai streets as he goes on to become one of India’s most notable rappers bent on introducing Indians to ‘asli rap’—that which talks about the everyday struggle, grit, and determination of the voiceless, the unseen.
It ends with Ranveer saying, ‘Apna Time Aayega (Our time will come)’.
‘Gully Boy’ is a story inspired by slum rappers of Dharavi, who is one of the most popular voices to emerge from the Mumbai rap scene.
Ranveer plays an underdog rapper, whose tumultuous journey from the slums of Mumbai to stardom forms the crux of the Zoya Akhtar-directed film.
Ranveer Singh who is paired opposite Alia Bhatt for the first time on the big screen is playing the role of a street rapper.
The trailer will be released on January 9.
Slated to release on February 14, ‘Gully Boy’ is directed by Zoya Akhtar and is produced by Excel Entertainment. (UNI)
