Mumbai: Bollywood was treated to a spectacle of nostalgia and star power as Shahrukh Khan took to Instagram to share a small video clip of him dancing with evergreen actress Rani Mukerji to 'Tu Pehli Tu Akhri', a song from his son Aryan Khan's forthcoming directorial debut "The Ba***ds of Bollywood".
Known as “Queen of Hearts” and the “King Khan” to fans, Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan’s timeless chemistry has defined an era in Hindi cinema.
The fun reel, featuring the Bollywood Badshah and his Kuch Kuch Hot Hai co-star Rani, has been drawing comments galore. SRK also wrote, “National award… hum dono ki adhoori khwahish poori ho gayi… yay… congratulations Rani, you are a queen and love you always.”
Earlier, Shahrukh had shared the song, saying it had fast become one of his favourites.
The duo's performance to 'Tu Pehli Tu Akhri' evokes nostalgia for audiences who have always loved their pairing in blockbuster films.
Released under the prestigious T-Series label, the track is an exploration of passion, desire and emotional vulnerability.
"The Ba***ds of Bollywood" premieres exclusively on Netflix on September 18.
The series is produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd and co-created by Bilal Siddiqui and Manav Chauhan.
The ensemble cast features Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Saher Bamba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhary, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Gautami Kapoor and Rajat Bedi.
