Shoot of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ suspended due to threat of Coronavirus

New Delhi: The shooting of the Shahid Kapoor and Pankaj Kapoor-starrer ‘Jersey’ has been suspended due to the growing threat of Coronavirus.

Talking to twitter, Shahid said, “At a time like this it is our social responsibility to do everything in our capacity to curb the spread of this virus. Team #Jersey is suspending shoot so as to enable all unit members to be with their families and in the safety of their homes. Be responsible. Stay safe.”

Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, ‘Jersey’, a remake of a Telugu film with the same title, stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead along with Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor in a key role.

 An official remake of the 2019 Telugu film with the same title, also directed by Tinnanuri, ‘Jersey’ marks Shahid Kapoor’s on-screen reunion with his father, Pankaj Kapur.

The film comes four years after ‘Shaandaar’. (UNI)
