If finalised, Kapoor will essay the titular role, portraying Narayangaonkar's remarkable journey from the rustic nautanki stages of Maharashtra to becoming an enduring of cultural performance.
The makers have reportedly obtained exclusive rights from Narayangaonkar's family to ensure fidelity to her extraordinary legacy. The narrative will be rooted in Yogiraj Bagul's book 'Tamasha: Vithabaichya Aayushyacha', which offers a poignant account of the artiste's trials and triumphs amidst the turbulent socio-cultural currents of her time.
