“Subtle cock champion”: ‘Rang De Basanti’ actor Siddharth trolled for ‘crass’ sexual comment at Saina Nehwal, NCW sends notice

‘Rang De Basanti’ fame Tamil actor Siddharth faced severe backlash on social media over his crass sexual comments at badminton player Saina Nehwal. Now, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has also sent a notice to the actor over the tweet.

Saina Nehwal had raised concerns over PM Modi security breach during his Punjab visit. She tweeted, "No nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists."

Siddharth retweeted her post and wrote, "Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank God we have protectors of India. Shame on you Rihanna."

Several netizens called him out for his 'crass' language. National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma also slammed Siddharth for his tweet. "This man needs a lesson or two. Why this person's account still exists? Taking it up with concerned Police," tweeted Rekha Sharma.

Rekha Sharma has written to Maharashtra DGP for investigating and registering FIR in the matter. NCW has also written to Twitter India for blocking the actor’s account and to take appropriate action against him for posting such remarks.
