Thiruvananthapuram: The renowned Rampur Warsi Brothers will bring their soulful Sufi Qawwali music to this capital city from November 4 to 7, staging performances across various school and college campuses.
 
Led by the distinguished Mohammad Khan Warsi, the musical event will showcase the talents of renowned Sufi Qawwali artists including Waris Nawaz, Arshad, Ikhlas Husain, Mohammad Naqvi, Mohammad Faiz, and Rahat Husain.
 
The program is organized by the Kerala chapter of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth), a cultural organization that encourages the appreciation of Indian classical art forms among students.
 
The performances will be held across multiple campuses, from Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi, offering students the opportunity to experience and understand the rich tradition of Qawwali music.
 
SPIC MACAY State Coordinator Velayudhakurup stated that the event is aimed at introducing Kerala students to the essence of Qawwali, helping them to appreciate and enjoy this traditional music form.
 
“This event is designed to introduce Kerala students to the beauty of Qawwali music, giving them a platform to understand and appreciate this rich and soulful art form.”
 
This series of performances offers a unique opportunity for students and the general public alike to immerse themselves in the mesmerizing world of Sufi Qawwali.
 
The event will be held at College of Architecture, Vilappilsala, on November 4 at 3.30 pm, at Arya Central School, Pattom on November 5 at 10.30 AM, at NIIST-CSIR, Pappanamcode, on November 5 at 3.30 PM, at RGCB, Poojappura, on November 5 at 6 PM, at Swathi Thirunal Government Music College, Thycaud, on November 6 at 2 PM, at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Valiyamala, on November 6 at 6 PM, at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pangode, on November 7 at 8.30 AM.
