Kolkata: MS Dhoni star took Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon are all set to mesmerize the audiences with their on-screen chemistry in their upcoming film ‘Raabta’.After traveling to Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Indore, the actors have arrived today at the sweet land of Kolkata to promoting their upcoming film Raabta.The film has been making a lot of buzz for the content which has been launched so far from the chemistry of Sushant and Kriti to the story and action to the songs of the film.

Raabta starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Kriti Sanon and Jim Sarbh marks the debut of Dinesh Vijan as a director.Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Bhushan Kumar and Homi Adajania, the film is all set to release on June 9.Deepika Padukone will be seen doing a cameo in the title song of the film while Rajkummar Rao will also make a cameo appearance in the film.The film's trailer has already garnered million views on YouTube.The film marks Dinesh Vijan's, who has co-produced films ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’, directorial debut.

Sushant and Kriti came together and looked striking together.Both Sushant and Kriti were both excited and nervous.Kriti shared how Raabta was a story she had heard even before she got her debut film.The script was not even written and it was just a concept.She felt there is a special connection she has with this film.

While on the other hand Sushant confessed he does not believe in such things but the script was powerful and compelling.He shared that as an actor he likes to work on stories which challenge and help him push the envelope.Sushant and Rajkummar Rao come back together post Kai Po Che.Since then, both of them have had an interesting career graph.

They have been doing different kinds of roles and have earned goodwill and love from the audiences.By sheer chance the duo came together again in Raabta.
Sushant said, “When Dinesh mentioned that Rajkummar will be doing a cameo in the film I was ecstatic! I have worked with him in my first film and there are so many learning and memories I carry of the film.I immediately reached out to him." He further said, "We did not get to hangout as much on sets.It was a hectic schedule.

We both had to do hours of makeup and I had some high action sequences which were very demanding.But, it just felt good to work with him again." “Raabta”… rooh jude toh judi reh jaaye (“An Unexplained Connection” …When two souls unite, they become one).Raabta is a modern-day story of two seemingly ordinary people who have the most extraordinary experience when they realize that they are connected through a past experience of unrequited love, passion, adventure and treachery.

Raabta, which is extensively shot in Budapest, Mauritius and Punjab, is a love story based on dreams, destiny and love.In the hip and thriving European city of Budapest, two strangers, Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Saira (Kriti Sanon) are mysteriously drawn to each other and have a whirlwind of a hysterical romance.

As they party through this bustling city, Saira questions the relationship more so because of how fast they have fallen so madly and deeply in love.Shiv is a laugh-a-minute and effortlessly brings so much sunshine into her life that Saira feels this is too good to be true.Until, of course, the third angle to their relationship emerges in the form of Zakir Merchant (Jim Sarbh), a billionaire playboy who goes all out to woo the beautiful yet strikingly down-to-earth Saira.

She’s floored by the attention and by Zak’s suaveness.But a prophecy from the past looms large over the destinies of Shiv, Zak and Saira in this life too.Will they manage to break this cursed cycle? The music of the film has been composed by Pritam, JAM8, Meet Bros and Saurav Roy.The lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, Irshad Kamil and Kumaar and the film had five songs released as singles.The full soundtrack album of the film which includes 7 songs was released by T-Series.
