Telugu actor-politician Pawan Kalyan tests positive for COVID-19

Hyderabad: Actor and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who has tested positive for Covid is being treated by reputed doctors.
A Party release here on Friday said, Mr Pawan Kalyan, who has returned after campaigning for by-election at Tirupati on April 3, was asked to undergo tests for Covid at Hyderabad as he felt uneasy.
Though initial tests proved that it was negative, he got quarantined in his farmhouse on doctors’ advice.
However, he is said to have had slight temperature and body pains and felt uneasy. Hence he underwent Covid test again two days back and it proved to be positive.
Cardiologist Dr Tangella Suman belonging to Khammam has started treatment for Sri Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad. As some phlem was found accumulated in his lungs, he is being given anti-viral medicines.
He would be put on oxygen if the need arises. Mr Charanjeevi, his sister-in-law Srimati Surekha and Mr Ram Charan and Srimati Upasana are in touch with Mr Pawan Kalyan and enquiring about his health from time to time.
All arrangements have been made at his farmhouse. A team of experts from Apollo Hospital including Dr Syam and Dr Subba Reddy have also arrived and conducted tests on him. Mr Pawan Kalyan is being given medicines to control fever and for body pains.
Mr Pawan Kalyan said that he was alright and would very soon be able to meet his fans and other well-wishers. His family medical advisor Mr Suman belonging to Kadiam in East Godavari district who has been trained in Puducherry and Mr Suman’s wife Srimati Kavya, the grand-daughter of Mr Thota Hanumantha Rao of Kakinada, is taking personal care of Mr Pawan Kalyan for the past one week, the release added.
