Vicky Kaushal as Sam Bahadur had modest opening at Box Office

Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur a flick based on India's greatest war Veteran General Sam Manekshaw lured the cinegoers to the multiplexes. The movie had a reasonably good start at box office as it logged 6 crore despite sliced screens. It gives a window for a lucrative initial weekend for the movie in terms of earnings.

'Sam Bahadur' – is the story of India's greatest war hero and first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw featuring Vicky in the titular role. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.The movie also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles.

Sam Manekshaw’s military career spanned four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.

The first look of Vicky  Kaushal in Sam Manekshaw's biopic was released in 2019 marking Sam’s death anniversary, paying him a tribute.Since then it captured everyone’s attention owing to the uncanny resemblance that his character had with Sam, when the look was released.
