Talking more about Aadil’s character in the movie, Vidhu Vinod Chopra shares, “For the role of the poet, I really wanted a good voice. When I heard Aadil’s voice, it immediately reminded me of Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. And it, of course, helped that he was very aware of the Kashmiri culture because of his Kashmiri ancestry.”

Shikara is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. The movie is inspired by Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s own life and is a tribute by the director to his mother. Shikara has been shot in real locations in Kashmir and also stars real Kashmiri Pandits. There is also footage from the original exodus in the movie.

Earlier, a special preview screening of the movie was held for Kashmiri Pandits in Mumbai and also in Delhi and people were in tears watching the preview, appreciating Vidhu Vinod Chopra for bringing their story to the big screen.

Shikara is all set to release on 7th February 2020. Presented by Fox Star Studios. Produced by Vinod Chopra Productions and co-produced by Fox star studios.
