The national award winner Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took to twitter as critically acclaimed movie "The Kashmir Files" completes three year of release. In a bid to express the hardships he had to face before and after the release Vivek writes
"Dear friends, They tried to silence me. They tried to erase history. But The Kashmir Files became a movement—shaking the nation and exposing the truth of the Kashmiri Hindu genocide.
The Kashmir Files was more than a film; it was a revolution, a voice for the voiceless, and a relentless fight for justice.

Notably the movie which depicted Kashmiri Pandit's geneocide waiting to be canvassed for 3 decaded on celluloide, become the first Hindi film in the pandemic era to surpass the Rs 250 crore mark. Later the movie received rousing reception on OTT Platform Zee 5
Written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the exodus drama features a stellar cast of actors including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar.
Produced by Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri was released in theatres on 11th March, 2022 and created a storm at the box office after positive mouth publicity.
Reportedly, the movie takes places in the period of 1989 to 1990, when ISI backed Islamic insurgents and terrorists made their way into Kashmir, radicalized the population and went on a door to door killing spree gunning down the native Hindus culminating in a bloodbath which led to a majority of Kashmiri Hindus leaving Kashmir, with the number estimated at over 100,000.
