Mumbai:Rajkummar Rao starrer film 'Omerta', directed by director Hansal Mehta, will now be released on the digital platform after multiplexes. It was announced that The movie will premiere on Zee5 on 25th July. In the Film, Rajkumar Rao played the role of a Pakistani origin British terrorist named Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh.
Talking about the role, Rajkumar Rao has said in an interview that this has been the most difficult film of his life due to mental exhaustion. The film was brought laurel at the Toronto International Film Festival. Later, the film also caught the eyeballs at the Busan International Film Festival and Mumbai Film Festival.
The word 'OMERTA' is basically an Italian word and which expresses the ability of remaining silent among the mafia leaders.The film was released on 4 May 2018 in Theaters in India. The film received positive reviews from critics. However, due to lack of publicity many audience were unaware of the release of this movie on celluloid
