Maharashtra: 1885 positive COVID-19 cases and 2 deaths in last 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: During the past 24 hours, 1885 fresh positive cases and two deaths were reported due to Covid-19 across the state, a health bulletin said on Tuesday.
With the addition of these cases, the state's cumulative case tally has surged to 79,12,462 and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,871.
Meanwhile, 774 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking the overall count of recoveries to 77,47,111.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.91 per cent and fatality rate to 1.86 per cent.
So far, 8,13,46,204 samples were tested, including 24,436 during the past 24 hours across the state. Of them, 79,12,462 or 9.73 per cent were found positive.
Presently, 17,480 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, six fresh positive patients were reported in Latur district and one each in Aurangabad and Beed district. No new case was reported in rest five districts of Marathwada region, said the bulletin.
