COVID-19: India logs 6,298 new cases, active caseload declines to 46,748

New Delhi: India has registered 6,298 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,45,22,777 while the death toll rose to 5,28,273 as 23 more succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 5,916 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,39,47,756. The recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 46,748, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 89.09 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 216.17 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
