COVID-19: India logs 6,915 cases, 180 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: A total of 6,915 people tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,29,31,045 while the death toll rose to 5,14,023 as 180 succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 16,864 more people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,23,24,550.
The recovery rate stands at 98.59 per cent. The active caseload stands at 92,472, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 76.83 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 177.70 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
