COVID-19: India records 10,649 new cases, 32 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: India recorded 10,649 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of active caseload to 96,442 as per the Health Ministry data on Wednesday.
As many as 32 fresh fatalities were recorded, taking the death toll to 527452.
Meanwhile, 10,677 recoveries were reported, increasing the total recoveries to 4,37,44,301 whereas the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.59 per cent.
According to the bulletin, 88.35 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 4,07,096 tests have been conducted.
“India has administered 210.58 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine (94.05 crore second dose, and 14.30 crore precaution dose), so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” the Ministry data said.
More than 200.21 crore more vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far. Over 6.16 crore balance and unutilized Covid vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the ministry said. (UNI)
