COVID-19: India records 34,113 new cases, active cases fall below 5 lakh

New Delhi: India recorded 34,113 new Covid cases, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,26,65,534, while the death toll rose to 5,09,011 as 346 more people succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 91,930 people recovered across the country from the disease, taking the total tally of recoveries to 4,16,77,641. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.68 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 4,78,882, the figures showed. As per the bulletin, 75.18 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 172.95 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
