India logs 11,793 new COVID cases, 27 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India registered 11,793 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the Health Ministry bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,34,18,839, while the death toll rose to 5,25,047 after 27 more people succumbed to the disease.
On a positive note, 9,486 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally of recoveries to 4,27,97,092. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.57 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 96,700, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 86.14 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 197.31 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
