India logs 3,962 Covid cases and 26 casualities in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India registered 3,962 new Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,31,72,537 while the death toll increased to 5,24,667 as 26 more succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 2,697 people recuperated from the disease, taking the tally to 4,26,25,454. Currently, the recovery rate stands at 98.73 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 22,416, the figures showed.As per the bulletin, 85.22 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 193.96 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.(UNI)
