India records 14,264 new COVID-19 cases; increase in cases for fourth straight day

New Delhi: India recorded 14,264 COVID-19 cases and 90 more deaths from the virus during the past 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Sunday was the fourth consecutive day to record a rise in new cases.
With the addition of these new cases and fatalities, the cumulative total number of cases have risen to 1,09,91,651 while total deaths in the country stands at 1,56,302.
As per the official data, there are now 1,45,634 active cases while the total recoveries stand at 1,06,89,715, marking a recovery rate of 97.25 per cent.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) the fresh cases came from 6,70,050 samples. (UNI)
