Mother and Child healthcare teams in CHCs soon

Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Minister for medical and health Dr Kamineni Srinivas said that special teams were being arranged in each community health centers (CHCs) for taking care of mother and child health .
   
 
Addressing a function after inaugurating the modern private laboratory UMAX at Amalapuram today, he said ,the aim was to reduce the mother and child mortality rate providing better medical care to the pregnant women. 
 
He said the state government was taking steps to ensure that all deliveries should take place at the hospital so the mother and child would be safe .He said already 102 call centers were opened in the state to ensure that after getting discharged from the hospital both mother and child reaches home safely .
 
He said , that the prestigious NIMS set up at Mangalagiri at a cost of Rs.16.18 Crores would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on December 18 along with Union Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu. 
 
Stressing the need for bringing down the medical costs, he advised the doctors and others in the medical field to go for establishing medical Labs, diagnostic centers and hospitals jointly to extend services to the people at affordable rates. 
 
Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, who presided, said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was striving his best to provide improved medical services to the people. Local MLA Ayithabattula Anandarao, former Minister Dr Metla Satyanarayana and former MLAs K.chiittebbai, Ayyaji Vema, BJP district president Y. Suryanarayana Raju were among those attended.
