How To Perform Puja On Akshaya Tritiya
Sit facing north on a red seat in the evening. Place a picture of Goddess Lakshmi on a red cloth. Place 10 Lakshmikarak cowries in front of the picture. Light a lamp of pure ghee. Perform Shodashopachar worship of Goddess Lakshmi. Apply vermilion on each cowrie and chant 5 rounds of a chosen mantra with a rosary of red sandalwood. This ritual is believed to please Goddess Lakshmi and attract her blessings, and end financial problems and bring prosperity.
