Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which governs the ancient shrine of Lord Venkateswasra at Tirumala, has sought an unconditional written ‘apology’ from the Sri Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teerth Kheshtra Trust (HJBTKT, Kishkinda, Koppal District, Karnataka) over its objectionable language used in the recent letter sent to the TTD on ‘Hanuman’s birth place issue’.
Last month, the TTD announced that Lord Hanuman’s birthplace was Anjanadri, a hillock at Japali Theertham located at Tirumala hills.
In a letter addressed to Swami Govind Anand Saraswati, President of Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teerth Kheshtra Trust, which was released to the Media here, TTDs Sri Venkateswara Institute for Higher Vedic Studies Project Officer said that the letter which was received from him is totally ‘objectionable’ and the language used in the letter is highly ‘Improper’. It is not the way to contradict our study report (on Hanuman’s birth place), he pointed out.
The project officer asked the Trustee to submit its report to the TTD before May 20 after thoroughly and carefully studying the TTDs report on ‘Hanuman birth place’.
He said that we will also invite Govidananda Saraswati for a detailed discussion on this issue after the Covid-19 pandemic subsided.
The project officer reiterated that Anjanadri, located near hill shrine Venkateswara temple in Tirumala, is the birthplace of lord Hanuman and dismissed the claims and allegations of Swami Govindananda Saraswati.
He said that the TTD formed an expert panel comprising mythological and geographical experts.
After a thorough study on the place of birth of lord Hanuman, the panel submitted its report confirming Anjanadri is the birthplace of lord Hanuman with mythological and geographical evidence.
The expert committee brought out a 22-page report to establish the fact that Anjanadri is Hanuman’s birthplace.
He said that the study report was kept in public domain on April 4, 2021 and the study report was given to the media. (UNI)
