Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The city unit of Akhil Bharatiya Andhasraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ABANS) on Wednesday gave an open challenge to Bageshwar Dham Maharaj Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, asking him to prove miracles that he performs in Divine 'durbar' and win a reward of Rs 30 lakh from the Samiti.
Addressing a press conference here, Kishore Wagh, the Marathwada organiser of Samiti, said that they do not have any objection to Dhirendra Krishna Shastri preaching the story of Sriram and Hanuman during his discourse but should stop performing miracles and 'Divya' (strange) claims in his divine court.
Wagh was responding to Shastri's call to Samiti members to come for discussion in his Divine court.
Notably, the committee has already demanded action against Maharaj under the Anti-Witchcraft Act and The Drugs & Magic Remedies Act.
Meanwhile, the three-day Ram Katha, Hanuman Katha and Divine court programme of Bageshwar Maharaj, organised by Sakal Hindu organisations and convener Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad, concluded here this evening. (UNI)
