VIDEO: Man in Pakistan stoned to death over desecration of Quran

Islamabad: A man in Pakistan have been stoned to death by a mob over the alleged desecration of the Quran in Khanewal district's village, a Pakistani daily reported on Sunday.

The Saturday incident took place in Jungle Dera village where hundreds of locals gathered after Magh­rib pra­yers following announcements that a man had torn some pages of the Holy Quran and later set them on fire, Dawn reported.

According to an eyewitness, a police team, who reached the village before the stoning incident, had arrested the suspect but the mob snatched him from the SHO's custody, Dawn said in its reports.

He was then hanged with a tree and hit with bricks by the villagers till death. (UNI)
