In Hinduism, Friday is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity. It is widely believed that poverty and hardship never enter a home where Goddess Lakshmi resides. While devotees observe fast and perform puja on this day, one of the most powerful and effective way to please Goddess Lakshmi is chanting the Shri Suktam - a sacred hymn from the Rigveda. Reciting Shri Suktam on Friday is believed to invoke the direct presence of Goddess Lakshmi and open the doors to abundance. Apart from Friday, it can be chanted daily as well.
How To Recite Shri Sukta:
- After taking bath, wear clean white or pink clothes.
- Then place a picture or idol of Goddess Lakshmi on a mat.
- Place Shriyantra near her.
