4000 crore setback to China's Rakhi trade this year

New Delhi: The campaign of the boycott of Chinese goods by the All India Merchants Federation (CAT) brought colors and the Rakhi festival suffered a major blow to the Rakhi trade of four thousand crores of China.
CAT had appealed for the celebration of the festival of Rakhi as Hindustani Rakhi this year as part of a boycott of Chinese goods launched from June 10, which was a complete success.
 
Not a single rakhi or raw material used to make rakhi is not imported from China  This has resulted in the production of about one crore Rakhis from Indian lower-class workers and  Anganwadi Karyakartas, including working women, created many hands made Rakhis of Different design
 
CAT National President BC Bhartia and National General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal said that according to an estimate, about 50 crore Rakhis were sold in the country every year worth about 6000 crore rupees. Every year Rakhi or raw material of Rakhi worth four thousand crore rupees,  were imported from China which is not the case this year.
