47 charge-sheets filed against 910 foreign Jamatees in Markaz case

New Delhi: Delhi Police Crime Branch has filed 12 different charge sheets in the Saket court on Thursday in the Tablighi Jamaat Nizamuddin Markaz case against a total of 536 persons, while 35 such charge sheets were filed earlier, taking the total number of foreign nationals charge- sheeted in the case to 910 so far.
As per the police , today's 12 different charge sheets had the names of 536 accused and before this 20 charge sheets were filed on Tuesday and 15 on Wednesday taking the total number to 47 in the Nizamuddin Markaz matter.
 
All the foreign nationals are charged for allegedly violating the Visa rules, Epidemic Act and others including section 269, 271 and 144.
 
Other than this case, Delhi High court in the Nizamuddin matter has heard the cases of two foreign nationals.
 
The High Court has said that the 910 foreign nationals will be kept under quarantine at nine different centers and all their food and other expenses will be borne by the Markaz.
 
None of the foreign nationals will be allowed to go anywhere without police and court's permission.
 
The police will be informed about the nine different locations where these people will be kept, and the state government will not have any pressure of taking care of the said people.
 
The petitioners in the meanwhile have given the list of suggested nine  places for keeping these foreign nationals.
 
Court had also directed the police to give a status report about these places, and after going through the report. The court further directed to shift these persons from the government centers to such places.(UNI)
